Registration for Spring Homeschool is now OPEN! 

2026 Spring Homeschool will run on Monday afternoons from April 13th, 2026 - June 29th, 2026 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm (a total of 11 weekly sessions). **Please note, there will be no class on May 18th for Victoria Day.**

Overview: Homeschool Programs

• Homeschool programs offer the opportunity for students aged 5 - 12 to experience learning in a group setting, engaging with both nature and visual arts
• Each week offers new opportunities to explore the Nature Reserve and engage in outdoor learning, with activities promoting teamwork and creativity
• Nature education programs are taught by our experienced environmental educators, and art class is taught by engaging local artist, John LeFlock
• Program topics vary from season to season, focusing on a variety of fascinating plants, animals, ecosystems, and more!
• Classes run 1x per week. Each session is 3 hours, divided evenly between two subjects, with time for a 15-min snack break
• Students are taught and supervised by experienced educators and volunteers

Program Fees

• The total program fee for Fall Homeschool is $466.40 ($40.00 x 11 sessions plus a 6% admin fee).
• The Heron Reserve can bill directly to funding programs. Please let us know if you are using a funding program.
