This hands on environmental and art education program introduces and connects students to the natural world. Participants will enjoy learning through environmental games, hands on science activities, outdoor explorations, and artistic mentorship. The environmental education portion of the program is a science and research based nature experience taught by instructors who have a background in teaching and biology and in depth knowledge to share about the reserves unique wetland ecosystem. Our art teacher will explore different artistic techniques, working with multiple mediums to showcase the importance of art in different fields of work. The kids will be divided into a younger group and an older group (with a maximum of 10 children in each group). There will be a 15-minute snack break.
