A Crones Guide to the Wetlands: Multiple dates and topics available!

Join local crone (and retired forester) Debora Soutar, for a detailed look at the amazing productivity of our local wetlands. There's food to sustain us, medicine to heal us, and materials to enhance our homes. Each guided walk is about an hour long. We'll meet at the Rotary Interpretive Centre at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve, on the last Tuesday of the month at 2pm. Dress for the weather. Limit of 20 for each group so register online.

Jan 27 - Longer days are stimulating plants and animals to begin the miracle of reproduction.

Feb 24 - If we depended on nature for our groceries, we'd begin serious foraging now.

Mar 31 - The sights and sounds of spring abound. Let's learn more about tree bark properties.

Apr 28 - Some of the yummiest berries will be ripe soon.
