The Campaign for the Interpretive Centre Operations
The
preservation of unique natural habitats is an essential part of life
in Chilliwack. The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve provides a home for
a number of endangered species as well as the third largest heron
colony in B.C. Through a $750,000 program, the Chilliwack Rotary Club
built a unique Interpretive Centre to enhance the appreciation and
educational values of the site. The goal of this campaign is to raise
$20,000 to augment grants from the City of Chilliwack to provide
continuing operation of the Interpretive Centre through the on site
presence of a Coordinator of Volunteers. Your gift will help to ensure
that the Interpretive Centre remains a part of the Great Blue Heron
Nature Reserve experience.
