Our Goal
To educate and inspire people of all
ages to understand, protect and preserve the wetland environment and
its wildlife through fun, engaging and interactive environmental
awareness programs.
School Programs
To book a program, first choose one from our
School Programs listing. Contact the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve by email at herons@shawbiz.ca
or by phone at
604-823-6603 and ask for Janet. Janet is usually in on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The cost is $100 per program per
class.
We can sometimes run two programs
simultaneously as we have two instructors if
you are booking an art program and a nature program.
Special rate for two programs.
You can book two, one hour programs for the same class
for $150. There will be a 15 minute break between the programs. You
can book two classes at the same start time if one is an art program
and one is a nature program.
Each school visit lasts approximately 1 hour, and is
delivered by a trained natural history interpreter. If you
are bringing a class on your own try to let us know so we can
coordinate arrivals and departures. Due
to the sensitivity of the site only one school will be booked per day
