HeronCam
Our HeronCam is now off.
The Heron nests are empty and
the herons have dispersed.
However there are are still
herons on site.
We are compiling a
the months of action on a DVD, including web footage of courtship, egg
laying, incubation, hatching, and growing chicks.
Thank you for your
patience with our trial run of the HeronCam online. We
will go online again in Feb 2009.

Garden for Wildlife
Help Restore the Wetlands (Spring 2009)
Our trained staff will demonstrate to your students the
importance of wetlands and why we are planting and how to use the tools.
Then, each student can plant a shrub and know that they are
helping to provide valuable habitat for endangered wetland species. We provide
gloves and tools. The students provide the enthusiasm and elbow grease! Total
program length: 60 minutes.
The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is only 45 minutes from
Guildford. Our Rotary Interpretive Centre has interesting displays, a large
multipurpose room (and washrooms). You are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy
the Reserve at your leisure.
